It gives me immense pleasure to inform you all that as an outcome of the Assessment and Accreditation of our College by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the College has been accredited with Grade ‘A’ (Score 3.26). We have highly qualified, dedicated and committed faculty who are well known in their respective fields of specialization. They are ever ready to provide guidance, sharpen skills and shape up all round personality of the students.

We, at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, provide vibrant academic environment for the students to sharpen their intellect, inter-personal and communication skills. The co-curricular and extra-curricular activities organized in the college provide a platform to the students for their personality development and the promotion of their creative talents in the diverse fields of debating, dancing, music and host of other cultural activities.

Our future plan is to develop the college into a Centre of Excellence to provide opportunities for all round development of the students in today’s fast changing competitive global environment of the 21st century. The college has modern facilities with technological support in the form of computer labs, providing platform to the students to learn, research and exchange knowledge.

Centre for Skill Development started in the Golden jubilee Year with the aims of improving capacity and competence of the students. SBSC Alumni Association is the knowledge partner and centre has organised many skill enhancement sessions, workshops and training programs. We have Internship Cell and E Cell working and helping students to get internship with big companies.

We are happy to share that Governing Body of the College has sanctioned to start six  Add -On  courses under the   Centre for Skill Development of the college  on themes such as Executive Skills , Digital Information Management , Tourism Marketing and Destination Branding  . Digitalization and Taxation Accounting ( GST ), Sales Management, Start-up and Entrepreneurship.

In the first phase the following three cources are being launched

1. Digital Information Management

2. Executive Skills ( Campus to Corporate )

3. Tourism Marketing and Destination Marketing 

These courses will help the students to learn/improve skills to find jobs in corporate sector. We are going to focus on improving their confidence, communication skills and ability to take decisions in critical situation.

Corporate Grooming and presentation skills, data management are some of the key objectives of running such courses. Idea is to empower the young generation to create leaders for tomorrow. We wish to work on heritage and value systems by promoting course on Tourism Marketing.

These Skill Development Add On Courses will help in reducing the employability gap and improve the skill sets of the students making them ready for the Corporate World to get jobs and develop their confidence to set up their industry and start up. Faculty from the industry and professionals have been requested to guide and teach the students. Classes will start from first week of November and will continue till February on flexible timing mode. Classes will include lectures, presentations, hands on training, industry visit, development and writing of project report. Students will be prepared for interviews to get internships and jobs.

We, at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, stand committed to contribute and coordinate our resources for progressive, scientific and rational educational exchange at national as well as international level. We also plan to organize cultural and educational exchange programmes with foreign universities that will make our students competitive among the corporate sector in India and the world.
